— About Us —
Founded when Ryerson University was still a Polytechnic institute (we’re old, man), our goal is to design and build an extremely fuel efficient, single-passenger vehicle. This vehicle is then road tripped to Marshall, Michigan, to test at the SAE Supermileage competition at the Eaton Proving Grounds. Getting there involves a colossal group effort of designing, machining, composite fabrication, mechanical & electrical design and fabrication, and engine modifications and tuning, under the (often exasperated) watchful eye of kind faculty members. We strive as a team to add valuable hands-on experience to the theoretical & technical concepts taught in the classroom to provide a unique learning experience for all those involved.
— Our Sponsors —
Sponsors are integral to our team, and we are always grateful for them. Our sponsors help us acquire the necessary resources to design, build, test and run our vehicle at various competition apart from investing in experiential learning for future leaders.
— Join Us —
We are always looking to expand our team in an effort to improve our performance and provide like-minded individuals with a sense of community and inclusion. Although we are at an engineering design team at heart, we are open to all Ryerson students of all disciplines and academic backgrounds, and have members in many faculties, from business to social work. If you're interested in joining the Ryerson Supermileage team, send us an email at supermileage@ryerson.ca, or just drop by and see us! Our design shop is in the Engineering Design Zone, located in Kerr Hall North 3 (basement).
